Acuity FAQ

How do I turn off/on certain contrast modes on my Acuity?

To Access the advanced menu, press and hold the power button for about 10 seconds when powering on the Acuity. Use the zoom in/out buttons to navigate, press the magnifier button to select/deselect contrast modes. Tap the contrast button to continue to the next screen. Use the same buttons to navigate this menu. These options are crop zoom (this crops the screen to enable 1X magnification), sound, indication for magnification while zooming and zoom preset.

 

How do I turn on reading aids on my Acuity?

To access reading aids, tap and hold the brightness button, then swipe up and down to cycle through the options. To adjust reading aids, swipe left and right (each aid has 5 settings).

 

How do I change the brightness on my Acuity?

Tap the brightness button (the button with a dot in the middle) to change brightness level, or swipe left and right.

 

How do I block auto focus on my Acuity?

To block auto focus simply tap the magnifier button. To unblock, zoom in or out.

 

How do I switch between display modes on my Acuity

Tap and hold contrast to change between last used mode. Swipe left and right to cycle through modes.

i-See FAQ

How do I switch between photograph and reading modes?

(buttons): press and hold contrast button for 3 seconds. This will switch to the last mode you used.

(knobs): press zoom knob to bring you to the last mode used.

 

How do I turn on reading aids on my I-See?

Press the reading aids knob (knob with two arrows on it) to cycle through the line masks. Fine tune the reading lines by turning the knob. To exit the reading aids, simply press and hold the knob for 2 seconds.

 

How do I adjust the contrast/brightness on my I-See?

Press the brightness button to change contrast of screen. Press and hold while using the zoom in /out buttons to change the brightness of the screen. With the turning knob, simply turn it right and left to change contrast and press and hold it while turning it to change the brightness.

 

How do I block auto focus on my I-See?

(push buttons) :Press zoom in and zoom out at the same time, press either button to unblock auto focus. (turning knob) :Press the turning knob to block auto focus, zoom in or out to unblock it.

Looky FAQ

Can I customize my user interface on my Looky 5?

Yes, you can customize the user interface on your Looky 5. To customize the user interface, first make sure your Looky is turned off. Hold the power button down when turning the unit on. Keep holding power button down until you see the menu.

The fist customizable option in the available color modes. Swipe right and left to move through the available color modes, then press the check icon to check up uncheck the color modes you would like available during use.

To move to the second customizable option, swipe up on the screen. The second option is for the user interface and how you would like it to display during use. Swipe left and right to view the available options. To select the one you prefer, press the screen on the option you would like to use. Once you have selected the one you prefer, press the power button once to save, and exit the customization menu and return to normal use.

 

How can I view and manage my saved images on my Looky 5?

To view the picture that you have saved on your Looky 5, tap and hold the top of the screen for 2 seconds. A menu will pop up, you can then press the play icon to view your saved images. To cycle through the images you have saved on your device, press on hold the bottom of the screen for 2 seconds, then use the right and left arrows to page though your saved images. Note: if you do not have any saved images on your device, the play button will not appear in the menu.

To delete saved picture on your Looky 5, open a saved picture you wish to delete, then press bottom of screen for 2 seconds. To delete, press trash can icon, then press the check mark to delete, or X icon to cancel.

 

How can I save images on Looky 5?

To save images on your Looky 5, first use the freeze frame button to take an image. Once you have a frozen image, tap and hold on the bottom of the screen for 2 seconds. A menu will then open, press the download icon to save your picture.

 

How do I change my color mode, or see my battery status on my Looky5?

To see the battery status, or change your color mode on your looky 5, tap and hold the top of the screen for 3 seconds. Icons will then appear for battery status, and color mode. The icons will automatically disappear after they have been idle for a little while to optimize the viewing area.

 

How do I adjust the sound, brightness and reading lines on my Looky 5?

To adjust the sound, brightness level or reading lines on your Looky 5, tap and hold in the bottom of the screen for 2 seconds. Controls will then appear to adjust the sound, brightness and reading line. The controls will the automatically disappear if not in use, to optimize reading space.

 

How to I turn the lights off on my Looky 5?

To turn the lights on, or off on your Looky 5, tap and hold center of the screen for 4 seconds.

 

How to I focus the camera on a Looky 5?

To focus the picture on your Looky 5, simply tap the middle of the screen. The camera will then automatically focus on the item directly in front of the camera.

i-Reader FAQ

How can I find the battery status on i-Reader?

To find the battery status on your i-Reader, press the Stop and Up buttons at the same time. The battery level will then be spoken aloud.

 

Where can I find the i-Reader keyboard controls?

The I-Reader Keyboard commands can be found in the i-Reader manual. You can download the user manual here.

Warranty Information

Standard Return Policy

If you are not satisfied with a product or products you purchased from Irie-AT, you can return the product(s) within 15 days under the following guidelines:

  • Product(s) must be returned within 15 days of the original shipping date.
  • The product(s) must be returned to Irie-AT undamaged, in its original packaging and include all accessories.
    • Passes Inspection: If the product(s) pass the inspection process, Irie-AT will issue a full refund.
    • Fails Inspection: If the product(s) do not pass the inspection process Irie-AT will be in contact to determine an acceptable solution.

NOTE: A Return Maintenance Agreement (RMA) must also accompany the returned product(s). Please contact support@irie-at.com for an RMA form before returning the unit.

**Irie-AT does not accept returns for additional accessories purchased in any condition.

 

Standard Repair Policy

Irie-AT strives to provide our customers with the best product support and after-purchase care. In the event that your product is defective or you require service, please consult your warranty paperwork to determine the eligibility for service.

What is the repair policy?

If the product failure occurs during the warranty period:

  • Parts and labor will be covered, unless the damage falls outside of the standard warranty coverage. If the damage falls outside of the warranty coverage please see details below.

If the product failure occurs outside the warranty period:

  • All non-warranty repairs will be charged at standard shop rates.
  • An Irie-AT Service Technician will inspect the unit and generate a repair quote to provide an estimate of potential charges before proceeding. Once the user authorizes the charges, the Irie-AT Service Technician will proceed with the repair. Upon completion of the repair an invoice will be created and payment will be required before the unit is returned.

Shipping is not included unless specifically indicated be an authorized Irie-AT representative.

Irie-AT is not responsible for any damage that occurs during inbound transport. Should damage occur, Irie-AT will contact the customer immediately so that a shipping claim can be filed if necessary. If damage occurs during outbound shipping please take pictures of the damage and contact Irie-AT immediately resolve the issue.

 

Standard Video Magnifier Warranty

What is covered:

Irie-AT warrants to the first end user of the enclosed video magnifier this limited warranty. Irie-AT warrants that the product conforms to the manufacturer’s specifications and will be free from defects in workmanship and materials for a period of time from the date of original purchase, not exceeding two (2) years for all Rehan video magnifiers. Irie-AT warrants that the video magnifier product is manufactured from new components and parts or like-new components and parts,which perform like new and meet the manufacturer’s standard of quality.

What Irie-AT will do to correct problems:

Should your video magnifier prove defective during the warranty period, please contact the Irie-AT Product Support Center for warranty instructions and return authorization. Contact information and business hours for the Product Support Center are available from the dealer from whom the Video magnifier was purchased, from the Irie-AT website: www.irie-at.com or by calling the Irie-AT headquarters at 888-308-0059 and selecting the support option. Irie-AT will repair the defective unit without charge for parts or labor. Repaired products assume the remaining warranty period of the product covered by this limited warranty.

What this warranty does not cover:

This warranty covers normal use within the workload specifications listed in your user’s manual. This warranty does not cover third-party parts, components or peripheral devices added to the Video magnifier after its shipment from Irie-AT (e.g. added boards, chips). Irie-AT is not responsible for warranty service should the label, logo, rating label or serial number be removed or should the product fail to be properly maintained or fail to function properly as a result of misuse, abuse, improper installation, neglect, improper shipping, damage caused by disasters such as fire, flood and lightning, improper electrical current, software problems, interaction with unrelated products, or service performed by other than an authorized Irie-AT service provider. If the claimed defect cannot be identified or reproduced, you will be held responsible for costs incurred. Shipping and any customs costs are not covered.

THE WARRANTY AND REMEDY PROVIDED ABOVE ARE EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. SOME LAWS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES. IF THESE LAWS APPLY, THEN ALL EXPRESS AND IMPLIED WARRANTIES ARE LIMITED TO THE WARRANTY PERIOD IDENTIFIED ABOVE. UNLESS STATED HEREIN, ANY STATEMENTS OR REPRESENTATIONS MADE BY ANY OTHER PERSON OR FIRM ARE VOID. EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN THIS WRITTEN WARRANTY, NEITHER ZOOMAX USA, INC. NOR ITS AFFILIATES SHALL BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS, INCONVENIENCE OR DAMAGE RESULTING FROM THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE VIDEO MAGNIFIER PRODUCT, WHETHER RESULTING FROM BREACH OF WARRANTY OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY.

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts and some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations and exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights, which vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction.
